Obituary

Ann Horn Everitt, born March 25, 1937 in Lubbock, Texas was the first child born to John W. and Ruth Hudgins. Being the oldest with 6 younger siblings she was tasked with helping to care for them. This led to her legacy in life of always opening her heart and home to care for the children of others when they needed a little extra love and attention.

Ann had a heart of gold and would do everything she could to help anyone she could. She was a loving wife and mother, wonderful cook, seamstress, and hard worker at every task she set her mind to. She absolutely loved to travel and was fortunate to have seen almost every state, as well as visit some other countries. She loved volunteering at her church, singing in the choir, playing games with friends and bible studies. Most of all, she loved God, her family and friends.

She is survived by her children; Sheila Matteson, Debbie Horn and her bonus son, Bruce Johnson. Grandchildren: Jennifer Jordan Ferguson (Dan) and Beau Jordan (Abi), as well as six great-grandchildren: Christopher, Sean, Isabella, Jemma, Henry and Eleanor. Her sisters, Carol Dewbre, Cindy King, and Linda Terry. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband's Marion Horn and Bob Everitt, her son Jim, granddaughter Christy, sister Marie and brother's Jerry and Aubrey.
