Annis Jewell Brady passed from this life on 29 December 2023. She was born to William Earnest Smith and Roxie Smith in Upshur County, Texas on 24 February 1938. She was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Edgar Allen Brady, her son John Calvin Brady, two brothers David Ray Smith and Danny Cal Smith, two sisters Joyce Ouida Smith and Maggie Juanita Driggers. She is survived by her sons Seth Brady and wife Sandy, Tomm Brady and wife Martha, daughter-in-law Molly Brady, sister Peggy McLendon, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Ann was raised on a farm in East Texas, then married and spent her early adulthood raising three boys in various oilfield towns along the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast. She and Edgar moved the family to Tyler, Texas in the late 1970's and she spent most of the remainder of her life there. Most of her final year was spent near family at The Terraces Retirement Community in Kingwood, Texas. She lived there a relatively short time, but made many friends who will miss her.
