Baldemira "Blanca" Martinez 99 of Kingwood, Texas, passed away in the afternoon of Thursday February 6, 2025.

She was born on February 14, 1925, the third of nine children, in Manacla, Dominican Republic to Juana Francisca Peralta and Jose Aquilino Martinez. She lived with her parents until 1950.

Blanca then immigrated to the United States and eventually became a Naturalized U.S. citizen, something she was immensely proud of for the rest of her life. Blanca settled in Queens, New York where she took up her true passion of being a seamstress with zeal. Her dedication to her craft and her skill became unparalleled. She was an active member of the International Ladies' Garment Workers Union. Blanca finally retired from her beloved career in 1984 after 38 years of dedication to the art of garment manufacturing.

After her retirement Blanca relocated to Humble, Texas. Where she could share her faith and her hobbies with her grandchildren. She was a great lover of the arts. From her musical tastes of Julio Iglesias and Marco Antonio Solis to dancing or enjoying the natural beauty of beaches.

All who knew her would describe her as a grateful, kind and loving woman, who had a very deep and boundless faith. She would often wish blessings upon loved ones and even people she had just met. Blanca was a devoted member of the Woodridge Baptist Church.

Blanca is preceded in death by her parents Juana Francisca Peralta and Jose Aquilino Martinez, Brothers; Jose Aquilino Martinez, Maximiliano Martinez, Jose Teco Martinez, Celedono Martinez and Claudio De Jesus Martinez and Sisters; Isabel Martinez, Ciliria Martinez and Olimpia Martinez.

She is survived by her daughters; Carmen Vargas and Diana Martinez, grandchildren; David Vargas, Paola Hiza and Julie Joa Castillo, great-grandchildren; Blane Hiza, Landon Hiza, Gabrielle Vargas, Asher Vargas, Makayla Vargas.
