It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Villella, a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a dear friend to many. She passed away peacefully at the age of 85, surrounded by her loving family on December 19, 2023.

Barbara was born on March 31, 1938 in Mansfield, Ohio to Nicholas and Margaret Colangelo. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jim and Fred Colangelo and daughter in law, Carol Villella. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, John Villella, her seven children; Johnny Villella, Michelle Villella Wait (Richard), Lisa Villella, Edward Villella (Kimberlee), Gerald Villella (Candice), Nicholas Villella (Andrea) and Michael Villella; sister, Sue Colangelo; sister in laws, Ann and Judy Colangelo and a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Her children were the pride and joy of her life. Her unwavering support, gentle guidance, and nurturing spirit have shaped them into the remarkable individuals they are today. Barbara lived an incredible life filled with love, compassion, and unwavering strength. A dedicated wife, she built a life founded on love and enduring commitment. Barbara embraced each new addition to her family with open arms and an abundance of love.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Though she may be gone, her spirit will forever remain a guiding light for all who were fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 10:00 am at Darst funeral home located at 796 Russell Palmer Road, Kingwood, TX 77339. Visitation to follow. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and pay their respects. Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day.
