Obituary

Barbara Jean Wilson, age 80, passed gently into the presence of the Lord at her residence in Humble, TX with her family by her side on April 17, 2023. Visitation will be held from 2pm-4pm at Darst Funeral Home, Kingwood, TX Sunday, April, 23, 2023. Burial will be held at 1 pm Monday, April 24, 2023 at Brookside Cemetery in Houston. Barbara was born in Houston, TX on January 1, 1943 to parents Len Dorothy Lipp. She was the fourth of seven children. On September 23, 1961, she married the love of her life, Royce Glenn Wilson at Melrose Baptist Church in Houston, TX. They had two daughters. She will be remembered for her love of nature, wildflowers her artistic talents of painting and floral design. Her passion for flowers led her to open a Floral shop in the early 1970's. Her greatest accomplishments in life call her Wife, Momma, Noni, and Grandma.

After attending Aldine High School, she began working at The Houston City Hall before a career in the floral industry. She was the proud owner of North Belt Flowers created beautiful floral designs for clients for many years. She absolutely loved being a florist, gardening working in the yard, EVERYTHING Elvis, classic 50's music, helping people, donating to The Trump Campaign, Wounded Warriors, and various animal rescue organizations. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her loving husband Royce at their farmhouse in Brenham, antiquing, traveling and activities with the Classic Car Club. She leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years, Royce Wilson; sister Joann Bullock, brothers Paul Danny Lipp, many loving nieces nephews and their families; daughter Kathy and her husband Scott Howard, and daughter Sherry Wilson; granddaughters Dee Ann Ballinger, Ammie Ballinger, Tracy and her husband Michael Yanchak; great grandchildren Justin, Gabriella, Marie, Jack Riley Grace; great-great grandchildren Presli, Paezli, Paxtin, Baize'Leigh Hope; her dear friends Wanda, Cindy Sandra; and her beloved Maltese Poodle, Bella.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dorthy and Len Lipp; Siblings Len, Clifford, and Jeanette; and Great-great granddaughter Brae'lynn Faith.

Pall Bearers are Scott Howard, Jack Klingman, Reese Hart, Shane Pot, Greg Contreras Domingo Amador.
