It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband and father. Barry passed away April 26, 2023 after losing his courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He was a devoted husband, loving father to his two sons, Keyl and Colin and a doting grandfather to Hayes and Archie.

Born on December 28, 1954 in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Barry was the oldest child to Helene and Don Woolet. He grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana and moved to Denton, Texas after he graduated from Purdue University in 1977. He graduated from Purdue with a double degree in Fine Arts and Visual Design.

Barry spent 35 years in the printing industry, retiring from Color Dynamics in Allen, Texas. It was in the Allen area where he met the love of his life, Karon Clancy, with whom he married and they made their home there until the children had moved out on their own. At that time Barry and Karon moved to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas where they spent the next 12 years. As their family expanded with the arrival of two grandchildren, they knew it was time to move back to Texas. Barry's children and grandchildren were the joys of his life.

Barry was respected for his hard work ethic and dedication. He was a dedicated family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He was a man of integrity, always putting his family's needs above his own.

Barry was known for his jovial spirit and being a great storyteller. He enjoyed making others laugh, spending numerous hours planning the next family vacation, watching sports, fishing, cooking outdoors and listening to all genres of music.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Helene Woolet and one sister, Dorene DeMeulenaere. He is survived in life by his father, Donald Woolet of Flower Mound, TX, his wife, Karon Woolet of New Caney, TX, his son Keyl Woolet and wife Cara Woolet of Kingwood, TX, his son Colin Woolet of Fulshear, TX, grandsons Hayes Woolet and Archer Woolet of Kingwood, TX, brother Kyle Woolet and wife Dina of Denton, TX.
