Beverly A. Bares, age 76, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2023 in Humble, Texas. Born March 19, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois, the second daughter of Lucille and Dave Bares. She lived the majority of her life in the Chicago area, known to many by her married name, Beverly Muhammad.

Beverly was preceded in death by her father, Dave Bares; mother, Lucille Bares; sister, Sheila Henderson; daughter, Ruth Muhammad and grandson, Kevin. She leaves behind her sister, Patricia (Otha) Miller; son Herbert (Jeneen) Poole; daughters, Lule Muhammad and Marie Muhammad; grandchildren, Krystle Harris, Alisa Poole, Elisha (Brianna) Poole, Rebecca (Brandon) Rasberry, Bria Rutherford, Jeremy Muhammad, Linford Vaughn, Josiah Vaughn, Lailah Hudson and a host of great grandchildren.

Beverly attended Hyde Park High School, graduating in 1965. She attended Cortez Peters Business School for a period, taking accounting courses. She married Herbert Muhammad Jr. just before her twenty-first birthday. She went on to raise their four children, as a single mother, following their divorce in 1973.

She loved visiting with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, traveling, shopping at thrift and dollar stores as well as watching old cowboy and game shows. She also found encouragement from watching various ministries on television, to include Joel Osteen and Mike Murdock.

She was affectionately known to some as "Beets." Beverly was truly an example of conviction and resilience. She demonstrated this throughout her lifetime, most notably while raising her four children and as her health began to fail in more recent years. She didnt live an extravagant life or leave much in the way of material possessions. She made many sacrifices to protect and provide for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, as best she knew how. Her greatest legacy will be her tenacious faith in JESUS CHRIST, which she imparted to be passed on for generations to come.
