Brett T. Roe, 60, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, in Kingwood, Texas, on January 29, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 18, 1965, in Gatesville, Texas.

Brett was a devoted husband, loving father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, cousin, nephew, and friend. He grew up in McGregor, Texas, and graduated from McGregor High School in 1983. Brett spent most of his working life in car sales, a career well suited to his outgoing personality and strong work ethic. His final place of employment was Baytown Hyundai, where he was proud of the relationships he built with coworkers and customers alike.

On May 11, 2012, Brett married the love of his life, Vanessa, in the Texas Hill Country. Together, they built a life centered on love, laughter, and family. He was a proud father to his daughters, Bailey (33), Madison (29), Grace (16), and Abigail (11). Brett was also a proud grandfather to his three granddaughters, Taegan, Talen, and Tate, whom he loved deeply.

Brett is survived by his wife, Vanessa; children, Bailey (Scott) Dent, Madison, Grace, and Abigail Roe; grandchildren; his mother, Janet Buth; his father, Jimmy Buth; and his brother, Brian (Kim) Buth. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Douglas Roe.

Brett loved watching sports—especially cheering on the Houston Astros—hunting, traveling, and, most of all, spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his humor, kindness, hard work, and the way he made those around him feel loved and supported.

At Brett's request, no services will be held.
