Carolyn Kay Taylor (Jones) passed away peacefully November 7, 2023 in Kingwood, Texas at the age of 82 with family by her side. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, adored Nana, and loyal friend. She was born in Gilmer, Texas on May 11, 1941 to Roy Howard Jones and Bertha Opal Jones. She attended New Diana High School and graduated May 1959.

During her Junior year she began dating G.A. Taylor (George) and this romance lead to marriage on July 4, 1959. Georges employment with Missouri Pacific Railroad and Union Pacific Rail took them to New Orleans, Fort Worth, North Little Rock, Kansas City, Corpus Christi and Houston. She stood by him through thick and thin with every move. They welcomed two daughters into this union, Donna Kay Taylor on January 2, 1961 and then Dyan Kristine Taylor on December 1, 1971.

Carolyn has been a member of Kingwood First Baptist Church since first moving to Kingwood in 1981. She loved her church and her Sunday School class friendships. Many people knew her as "Mrs. Carolyn" through her work in Mothers Day Out and the church nursery. Carolyn enjoyed, gardening, walking with her good friend Anne, but especially watching her grandchildren Cole, Corley, and Garrett grow up. Carolyn instilled in her girls a love for dogs which they carry on to this day. She was always eager to assist with Gypsy, Lola, Bella and whatever rescue dogs the girls had in their possession.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Joy Nell Cargil. She will be sadly missed by her husband George (G. A.) and her two daughters Donna Fowler and Dyan Carpenter. She leaves behind three adoring grandchildren Cole and Corley Carpenter and Garrett Fowler.

The family wishes to thank the ICU staff of Kingwood HCA Hospital for the great care and love they showed Carolyn.
