Chacko Jacob (Sunny) was born on September 3rd, 1944, in Thonniamala, Kerala, to the late Mr. Chacko Geevarghese and Mrs. Saramma Chacko of Nirannanilathu House. He was the youngest of three siblings. When he was just a one-year-old, his father passed away, and he was raised by his mother.

After completing high school in Pathanamthitta, he pursued higher education at Manipal Institute of Technology, where he graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering in 1968. He began his career as an engineer in Madras before moving to the United States.

In July 1975, he married Deenamma Pathicheril, daughter of the late Mr. Cherian Kunjummen Pathicheril and Mrs. Annamma Kunjummen. Later that year, they immigrated to the U.S. and settled in New York, where they were blessed with three children: Cindy, Sini, and Stanley.

For ten years, Sunny worked as a quality control engineer at Grant Hardware Company. While in New York, he was an active member of the Malayalee community. He was a founding member of the Hudson Valley Malayalee Association in Rockland, NY, and played a key role in establishing St. Andrews Mar Thoma Church, NY. His involvement in both the community and the church continued throughout his life.

In 1988, Sunny moved to Houston, where he started his company, Stanley Drilling Equipment & Supply. He ran his business successfully for over 35 years.

Sunny was deeply committed to the Mar Thoma Church and was a founding member and on the Board of Trustees of the Immanuel Mar Thoma Church, Houston. He served as Vice President, Mandalam member, and in various other executive committee roles during the church's formative years.

Sunny dedicated his life to improving his family's well-being, bringing his siblings and their children to the U.S. to create better opportunities for them. Despite facing life-threatening health challenges in 2013, he was blessed to witness his daughters' marriages and remained active in the lives of his three grandchildren. His generosity also extended beyond his family; he was always seeking ways to uplift others.

His commitment to his faith, his family, and the community alongside his resilience, determination, and vision will continue to inspire future generations of our family.
