Obituary

Charles Wilson Beasley, Sr., 77, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024, following a multi-year battle with congestive heart failure. He was surrounded by his loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living life to the fullest.

Charles was born on April 17, 1946, in Orange, Texas, and spent his formative years in Port Neches Groves. He went on to attend Lamar Institute of Technology and worked in the transportation finance industry until his retirement.

In 1966 in Groves, Texas, Charles met Doris, sparking their great love affair that lasted more than 56 years. They were inseparable from the day they met and were beside each other through life's joys and hardships, truly through sickness and in health.

Charles held many titles in his life, but his favorite role was being a husband and father. A true family man, he loved nothing more than spending time with his wife and two children. He shined in the position of being the family's rock.

Aside from his love for his family and friends, Charles was passionate about the great outdoors and was always outside coaching, hunting, or fishing. He had a passion for being on or near the water and a true wanderlust for life. He never met a stranger.

Charles is reunited in death with his loving parents, Audrey and Woodrow Wilson Beasley and his sister JoAnn Hebert.

Charles is survived by his dear wife, Doris Ann Beasley, his children, Charles Wilson Beasley Jr., Angela Beasley Ahearn, and her husband Jeff; and his beloved grandchildren: Stryker Snow Ahearn and River Wilson Ahearn. He is also survived by his brother, Wayne Beasley and numerous nieces and nephews who were so dear to him. There are countless other lifelong friends and family who Charles carried with him in his heart.
