Our beautiful and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Charlotte, entered the glorious gates of Heaven in the early morning hours of October 21, 2024.
Born at Carswell Air Force Base in Ft. Worth, TX to Clyde and Kathryn Folkes, Charlotte was the only daughter and youngest of 4 children. April 6, 1970, Charlotte married the love of her life, her soulmate, Thomas Earl Sartain. She was a loving and supportive military wife and together they raised 4 boys in Houston and Humble, TX.
Charlotte worked for DHL for 17 years where she made several life-long friends. She worked her way up to being a team leader and proudly retired at 57 years old.
Charlotte enjoyed sewing, reading, playing games, and fishing. As a teenager, Charlotte dedicated her life to Jesus, and she was a member of Deerbrook Baptist Church since 2007.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Folkes, stepfather, Leo Authement, mother, Kathryn Authement, parents-in-law, Henry and Willie Sartain, brother and sister-in-law, Don "Top" and Leta Collier, niece, Pam Collier, sister-in-law, Janet Helms, and stepbrother, Richard "Hoppa" Authement.
Charlotte is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Sartain, son and daughter-in-law, James and Karen Sartain, son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Michelle Sartain, son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Saleia Sartain, and son, Shawn Sartain; Grandchildren, Brian Bevil II, Madison Sartain, Jayden Sartain, Dylan Sartain, Brook Sartain, and Leah Sartain; brother and sister-in-law, David and Annie Folkes, brother and sister-in-law Gary and Lillie Folkes, brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Glenda Folkes, sister-in-law, Leona Bailey and husband Terry Walkup; many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
