Christopher Alan
Potter
Sep 3, 1959 — May 23, 2023
Christopher Alan Potter went to be with his precious wife Michelle and Jesus on May 18, 2023 at 63 years old. He was a devoted husband, loving father, fun "Pops" to his granddaughters, and a loyal friend. Working for decades at the same company, NS Controls, as an electrical engineer, he was a loyal employee and friend to many. Chris thoroughly enjoyed his career but his biggest passion and favorite pastime was golf, as he was an avid golf enthusiast. If he was missing at any point, chances were, he would be on the green starting a tee time.
Chris served and attended Christ the King Lutheran Church in Kingwood, Texas. He sang in the choir and named himself the best slides clicker there was, but most of all, he taught his children the importance of faith and family. After losing his precious wife to ovarian cancer in 2001, he dedicated himself to his daughters and their families until the very end, there wasn't a day that he didn't think of or mention his precious Michelle.
Chris was born on September 3, 1959 in western New York but lived in Texas for twenty seven years. He was the middle son of Donald and Jean Marie and known to his family as witty, funny, and mischievous. He was extremely handy and could build or fix almost anything, this trait passed down from his father. Chris is preceded in death by his loving wife of 16 years, Michelle DiPippo Potter, his father, Donald Hale Potter, and other relatives on both sides of their families. He is survived by his mother, Jean Marie Potter, sister Kate Krietor (Dave), brother Steve Potter (Kathryn), and sister Sandra Bogoniewski (Jim). He is survived and remembered by his beloved daughters Courtney Pickhaver (Joe) and Kaitlin McComas (Jaegar) and precious granddaughters, Sophie, Chloe, Riley Pickhaver who affectionately knew him as Pops.
In the past year Chris battled cancer bravely, always with a smile and hope. Before taking his final breath on Earth he told his children that he was ready to be with Jesus and his wife, Michelle. He will live on in the hearts of his family and his legacy of faith and loyalty will continue for generations. He is already extremely missed.
