Obituary

Dennis Ralph Dace, 80, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, September 13, 2015, at Rosemont Assisted Living Center in Humble, Texas. He was born July 4, 1935, in Stanton, Missouri. Dennis had a love for family, his Savior, Jesus Christ, and Corvettes.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Ruby Dace and Dorothy Harms Dace, a sister, Barbara McDuff, and the love of his life, Ellia M. Dace who he was married to for 55 years. He is survived by a daughter Denise Sonnenberg and husband Nolan of Kingwood; a son, Brian Eric Dace of Silsbee; and a grandson, Zachary D. Sonnenberg of Kingwood; sisters Clara Cole and Becky Smith; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Dennis was a lifelong member of the Assemblies of God Church, a deacon, choir member and Sunday School teacher. He was also a Gideon. Dennis was an interpreter of Russian and Japanese languages while he served in the Air Force and then the Marine Corps Reserves. He received his Electrical Engineering degree from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. He was an Engineer at Temple Inland Eastex which is now Westvaco for many years. He served on the Silsbee City Council. He loved to spend time with his grandson and they traveled to many places together.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2pm on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Rosemont Assisted Living Center 6450 Kings Pkwy. Humble, TX Service Information Funeral: A memorial service was held on 2015-09-18 at Rosemont Assisted Living.
