Dalton William Jenkins, age 33, of Cove, Texas, passed away on March 21, 2026. He was born on March 22, 1992, in Baytown, Texas, to Tony and Tammy Jenkins.

Dalton graduated from Barbers Hill High School in 2011. Following graduation, he pursued a career as a journeyman lineman with CenterPoint Energy, where he dedicated nearly ten years of service. Dalton had a deep passion for the lineman community and the families within it. He often spoke of it as a "brotherhood," valuing the tight-knit crews, camaraderie, and what many proudly call "the love of the trade." He took great pride in his work and the impact he made.

He was a proud member of IBEW Local 66. Dalton was known for his strong work ethic, drive, and commitment to excellence. He was always striving to grow, provide, and ensure the highest level of workmanship in all that he did. Above all, Dalton had a kind and generous spirit, he never met a stranger and had a heart big enough to make everyone feel welcome.

Dalton is survived by his loving parents, Tony and Tammy Jenkins; his wife, Cassie Weckwerth Jenkins; his son, Seth Waylon Jenkins; and his daughters, Quincy Monroe Jenkins and Birdie Iris Jenkins. He is also survived by his grandparents, Larry and Roma Fechner, and Wanda Montrose, all of Cove; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Seth Anthony Jenkins of Baytown, and his grandparents, Billie and Maggie Jenkins of Cove.

A celebration of Dalton's life will be held at Hillside Church, 12319 TX 146 in Mont Belvieu on Monday, March 30th. Friends are invited to visit with the family beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m.
