Davidson Aquino
Hernaez
Nov 4, 1952 — Dec 15, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our devoted father, Davidson "Danny" Aquino Hernaez. He cared deeply for his wife, family, and friends. He found true joy in his Christian faith and touched the lives of many through his ministry and travels.
Danny passed peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, on December 15, 2024. Born in Manila, Philippines as the only child to Santiago and Remedios Hernaez, Danny shared his childhood growing up with many of his cousins. He stayed close to them and looked to many as siblings.
Danny was a man of unwavering integrity and joyful generosity, fully committed to his family and faith. He had a long and successful career in medical administration, with the crowning achievement being his 30 years as CEO of DearCare, a company he developed with his wife and business partners. Beyond his professional success, Danny was a passionate pastor who found a calling in spreading the word of God and supporting Christian causes worldwide.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents, but his legacy lives on through his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 50 years, Emy Hernaez, and their children: Denise Post (Richard), Erwin Hernaez (Nga), Dana Wallace (Paul), and Darlene Takahashi (Ethan). His love and greatest blessing were his cherished grandchildren: Olivia, Logan, Desmon, Kennedy, Duke, Riley, Peyton, Alon, and Amihan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at First Methodist Humble on January 25, 2025, at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, our family requests donations be made to your place of worship or a deserving community in need. Giving to others and following faith is what our father cherished and would have wanted. His spirit of generosity and faith will continue to inspire all who knew him.
