In Loving Memory of Dennis Floyd Eckman

May 12, 1942 – April 12, 2026

Dennis Floyd Eckman, a man defined by his gentle spirit, unwavering kindness, and steadfast faith, passed away on April 12, 2026. Born on May 12,1942, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dennis lived a life rooted in devotion to his family, his heritage, and his church.

The son of the late Floyd Dominic Eckman and Lucille Magdalene (Copa) [Eckman] Murray, Dennis grew up in a household built on Midwestern values and strong familial bonds. He is survived by his brother, Michael Eckman, and joins his beloved sisters, Carole Busch and Jean Eckman, who preceded him in death, in eternal rest.

Dennis was the bedrock of his family, serving as the devoted husband of Theresa Louise Eckman. As a father and grandfather, he led by example, instilling lessons of compassion and integrity in his children, Christopher Charles Eckman and Marceline Frances (Eckman) Anderson, as well as in his five grandchildren: Alex, Kane, Shane, Gabriel, and Caroline. To those who knew him, he was truly a "gentle man"— a man whose quiet strength and humble nature left a lasting impact on everyone he met.

A devout Catholic, Dennis' faith was the guiding light of his life. He found great purpose in his community and lived each day as a testament to his beliefs, offering grace and kindness to all.

He will be deeply missed, but his family takes comfort in knowing he is at peace, reunited with his parents and sisters in the light of his faith.
