Obituary

Diane Marie (Pausewang) Hogan was lifted to Heaven on Sunday, April 19, 2026. She passed away peacefully with her family at her side.

Diane was a beautifully kind person with a giant heart that touched so many. She was born a small-town girl in Granger, Texas. She met her husband of 41 years, Stephen, in choir at Temple College. They remained in Temple, Texas, where they started their family and Diane pursued her degree in Education from the University of Texas at Austin. After the family relocated to the Houston area, Diane taught 5th grade at Hidden Hollow Elementary in Kingwood, Texas, for 30 years and was an inspiration for many young students. She was an avid gardener and took great pride in hard work, maintaining her flower beds in their serene and picturesque home. She loved cooking, cross-stitching and diamond painting. Diane put so much love and effort into all kinds of crafts and projects, many of which she gifted to her friends and family. Diane was love. She shared her heart and home, hosting countless celebrations over the years, as well as always being an integral figure, eagerly involved in the lives of her children, nieces, nephews, and as the beloved "Lita" to her grandsons. Diane always had a beautiful and special relationship with her mother-in-law, Mary Hogan, who survives her in life. Diane is survived by her husband, Stephen Hogan, their son, William Hogan, their daughter, Michelle Hogan, Michelle's husband, Julio Dominguez Hernandez, and their 3 sons, Emiliano, Andres, and Diego. She is also survived by her brothers Michael (Shirley), Allan, Mark and Joseph (Sheila), sisters-in-law, Margaret (Glenn), Katherine (Tom), and Teresa (Tony), and brothers-in-law, Richard (Julie) and John (Darlene), and many nieces, nephews and their children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Ann Pausewang (Schwertner), her father-in-law, Donald Hogan, and brother-in-law, Patrick Hogan.

She will be sorely missed.
