Celebrating the Life of Don McMahan.

Born on December 3, 1941, in Houston Texas. His parents J.D. and Myrtle McMahan- he was the 5th of seven children and twin to his sister Ellen.

Don earned his GED in 1960 and later joined the service. In 1963, he was honorably discharged after serving the nation for 3 and a half years. After leaving the U.S. Army he had a lifelong career as a diesel mechanic.

On August 15, 1993, Don married Jean McMahan in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Don will be remembered as a caring, generous and sentimental man, who had a deep love for his family. Whether it was hunting or fishing with his family, visiting casinos, or taking road trips to visit his close friends and relatives- Don always knew how to have a good time!

Don McMahan is preceded by his parents J.D. and Myrtle McMahan; brothers Michael McMahan & Dell Wayne McMahan; and sisters Alta Gilbreath & JoAnn Caldwell.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 31 years, Jean McMahan; sons Danny McMahan and Bubba McMahan, with his wife Jennifer McMahan; twin sister Ellen McLemore, and husband Roger McLemore; brother Jerry McMahan, and his wife Naomi McMahan; step-daughters Kari Carter (Donald), Kelley Grantham (Daniel), Krista Pucci (Gary), and Kimberly Hall (Ed); grandchildren Camron, Cadie, Karolyn, Kourtney, Caleb, Connor, Kacey, Anthony, Sarah, Cody, Kayla, Carrie, Bradley and Brent; great-grandchildren Payton, Rhyder, Maddox, Carolyna, Breeanna, Shelton, Gracelyn, Michael, and Malachi; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews- and of his buddy Astro, who will miss resting by his side in their recliner.
