Donald Mells Rowley, age 84 passed away peacefully on July 10, 2023. Donald was preceded in death by parents, Hazel and Mells Rowley, son Brian, brother Bob, and sister-in-law Sandie Peek. He is survived by loving wife of 56 years Nancy (Peek), daughter Tanya (James) LaMacchia, twin brother David (Phyllis), and grandchildren Amber (formerly known as Nicholas) LaMacchia and Matthew LaMacchia.

Survivors also include nephews Bruce (Kim), Eric (Steph), Chris (Melissa), Jay (Julie) Peek and Carl (Kris) Peek as well as brothers-in-law Rob Peek, Mike Peek (Debbie), and Tom Peek. Also survived by cousins in Connecticut, Florida, and California and numerous special friends in Minnesota.

Donald was born in Cleveland, Ohio and later moved to Richfield, Minnesota where he and Nancy raised their children and lived happily for 50 years. Donald and Nancy were long-time members of St. Nicholas Episcopal Church in Richfield.

After high school, Donald enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve, serving for 8 years. He graduated from Ohio University, earning a BFA in Commercial Art. He worked over the years as a Senior Designer and Illustrator, having taught himself Computer Assisted Design and Photoshop. He also enjoyed creating fine art air brush paintings.
