Donna Maddox 75 of Porter, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday January 30th, 2025. She was born on November 5th, 1949, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the second child of Marie and Paul Castleberry.
Upon graduation from High School, Donna attended Penn State University where she obtained a bachelor's degree in education, she later enrolled in the University of Texas and gained a master's degree in education. Donna dedicated 35 years to the education of children.
On June 7th, 1987, Donna married William Maddox and for the next 37 years they raised children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren together. Raising her family to know and love her savior Jesus Christ, she was a devout member of the First Baptist church of Porter. She loved to sing and praise her God every chance she could.
After her well-earned retirement, she spent all her time doing EVERYTHING with her grandchildren. Going to every sporting event, concert, and graduation she could.
Donna's passing leaves a large hole in the hearts of all that have known her, but the memory of her as a Caring, Colorful, Generous and Dependable person will live on inside them forever.
Donna is preceded in death by her parents Marie and John Castleberry, sister Sandra MacLean, and son William Hellstern.
Donna is survived by Husband; William Maddox, Daughter; Annette Keating (Chris), Son; John Maddox (Kirsten), Grandchildren Erin Dawson (Robert), Christopher Keating, Zachary Keating, Trinity Maddox, Liam Maddox and Great Grandson Kameron Dawson
