Douglas R.
Baker
Jul 25, 1943 — Apr 30, 2024
Douglas Baker, a man of wit, warmth, and boundless love for his family, passed away in Houston
Tx. on April 30, 2024, at the age of 80. Born in Pineland Tx. on July 25, 1943, Doug lived a life
enriched by simple pleasures and cherished moments.
Doug was a lover of the outdoors, finding solace and joy in the tranquil settings of the hunting
lease, or on the golf course. His passion for these activities was matched only by the joy he
found in sharing them with his loved ones.
Though he may have teased them mercilessly, he loved his three children and six grandchildren
more than words could express. They were his greatest adventure, his proudest
accomplishment, and the source of countless cherished memories.
Doug was best known for his quick wit and infectious sense of humor. With a twinkle in his eye
and a smile on his lips, he could light up a room with his witty one-liners and clever quips. His
humor was a gift he generously shared with everyone he encountered, leaving a lasting
impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Doug's legacy of love, laughter, and lightheartedness will live on in the hearts of his family and
friends forever. Though he may no longer be with us, his spirit will continue to bring smiles to
our faces and warmth to our hearts. Rest in peace, Doug, and may your one-liners echo through
eternity
