Rosalind, 83, was born April 19, 1941 in Canton, MS where she grew up and spent many years. Education was a very important part of Rosalind's life. She was a life-long learner, educator and advocate for children's literacy. Rosalind was a leader in education for over 30 years from kindergarten to the collegiate level. She received her BA from Mississippi College and continued her passion for education by pursuing her Doctorial from Mississippi State University. Rosalind loved gardening and had a natural talent for growing and nurturing beautiful plants. She got so much joy sharing them with family.

Rosalind is preceded in death by her husband Robert A. Crawford. She is survived by her daughters Terre McKinney (Robert), Kingwood, TX; Tracey Smith Hutson (Jimmy), Madison, MS. Her grandchildren John Stewart, Kingwood, TX; Brooks Castaneda (Mike), Kingwood, TX; Hunter Bowering (Megan), Madison, MS; Sawyer Bowering, Starkville, MS. Her great-grandchildren Isabella and Roman Stewart; Blaise, Brooklyn, and Brylee Castaneda; Torin and Everly Jo Bowering.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Caring Hands Senior Care and Bayou City Hospice for the loving and compassionate attentiveness she received. Rosalind's services will be Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Darst Funeral Home, Kingwood, TX. Visitation will take place at 12pm with a Memorial Service to follow at 2pm.
