Dustin Logan Wood, 36 gained his wings on September 8, 2023, at 2:03 AM after a brief battle of illness. He was surrounded by his mother and sister when he took his flight.

He was born on the glorious day of January 6, 1987, to the proud parents of Stan and Margaret Wood at Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas. Dustin grew up in Kingwood, Texas graduating from Kingwood High School in 2005. He continued his education to become an Emergency Medical Technician. Dustin was a proud member of the great Atascocita Fire Department for over 15 years. He dedicated his life to his career and made his family proud of his professional choice.

He was preceded by his father Lawrence Stanley (Stan) Wood, grandparents Lawrence George (LG) and Norma Jean Wood and Granny Vena Thompson Prophitt LeFevre. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Wood, sister, Shana Wood Moore, Uncle Doug Prophitt, Aunt Gina Robinson Prophitt, Aunt Penny Gaye Prophitt, Aunt and Uncle Jane and Steve Beavers along with many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Please join his family and friends to celebrate his life at Darst Funeral Home in Kingwood, Texas on October 14, 2023. The Celebration will begin at 11:00 AM but a brief visitation will precede the celebration. A gathering for all who wish to attend will follow at Dustin's childhood home.
