Edward "Ron" Ronald Hellekson, 77, of Kingwood, TX, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 6th, 2024. Ron was born on January 8th, 1947, to Edward Merle and Florence Margaret "Peggy" Hellekson in San Diego, CA. After Ron graduated from Eastwood High School in El Paso, TX in 1965, he served four years in the U.S. Air Force, with an 18-month deployment in Guam and Okinawa.

After serving in the military, Ron went on to begin a 40-year career with Nash Engineering/Gardner Denver as a Field Service Representative. During his career he was able to travel throughout the country and overseas and spent many hours doing what he loved - driving. He would say he was "one with the car".

Ron leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his family. He was a family man who would do anything for the people he loved, close friends included. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Florence "Peggy" Hellekson. He is survived by his brothers, Mike (Sue) and Roger (Monica) Hellekson, his daughters, Julie and Javier Gonzales (Hellekson) and Kimberly Hellekson, the mother of his children, Barbara Wilson (Hellekson), and his

grandchildren, Jenna, Kellie, Clayton, and Tanner.

For those who were closest to him, Ron was known to be a fun-loving person who would always make you laugh, he is described by his family and friends as a "funster" or a goofball. Until his last days, he still found ways to make light of himself and to make the people around him laugh. Ron's hobbies included reading, driving cross country, going to the gym, socializing with his friends, and hiking. Though he has departed from this world, his adventurous and fun-loving spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky to have known him and loved him.

A private celebration of life will be held for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation and/or The Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.
