Evelyn Belle Martin was born on May 4, 1932, in Ulysses, Kansas, where she spent her early years. On August 13, 1950, she married Newman "Bob" Martin, her loving partner and best friend. Together, they shared an extraordinary 75 years of marriage, building a life around love, laughter, and deep companionship. Together they have one daughter.

Evelyn and Bob embraced life's adventures together, making homes in several states, including multiple locations across Texas, as they followed Bob's career. Wherever they lived, Evelyn had a gift for creating a fun atmosphere and friendship. In 1986, they retired to Kingwood, Texas, where they enjoyed the next 40 years surrounded by neighbors who became dear friends.

Evelyn's passions reflected her enjoyment of people and the past. She loved dancing, especially with Bob to Glenn Miller's "In the Mood", as well as genealogy, quilting, and socializing with friends. Whether tracing family histories, stitching quilts, or sharing a conversation, Evelyn brought warmth and fun into everyday moments.

Evelyn passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Bob, her daughter Sheryl, extended family, and the many friends whose lives she touched through her warmth, friendship, and joy for life.
