Frank Tomas Ciura, age 80, suddenly passed away while at home, on June 15, 2024. For the past 30 years, he was a resident of Kingwood, Texas.

Frank was born, in El Salvador to Giuseppe Ciura and Adriana Ciura on May 30, 1944.

On April 1965, Frank graduated from the United States Marine Corp bootcamp in Parris Island, South Carolina. He served active duty and reserve duty as a United States Marine Corp Staff Sergeant from 1965 until 1982.

He became a naturalized citizen of the United States on December 9, 1970. He was very proud to call the United States his home.

In 1964, Frank graduated from Lindsey Hopkins Technical College in Miami, Florida. After graduation he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In Fort Lauderdale, he met and married his first wife Linda Ann Hoff. During this period Frank also became a proud father to his son, Frank Tomas Ciura, Jr.

When a career opportunity in commercial truck and trailer sales arose, he moved his family to North Ridgeville, Ohio where he began working with LaPine Truck Sales and Equipment Co. Frank's bilingual skills allowed him to serve and secure international customers in the commercial truck and trailer sales market of North and South America.

Frank and his family became members of Church of the Open Door in Elyria, Ohio. In 1986, his beloved first wife, Linda Ann Hoff, passed away from a chronic illness.

In 1994, he married his second wife Mary Crookston Ciura, and moved to Houston, Texas, with Mary and stepdaughter Michelle. In Houston, he became the General Manager at the LaPine Truck Sale's Houston location. He worked for LaPine Truck sales for twenty-two years before establishing his own business, Frank's Trailers, Inc. He owned and operated his own business until his retirement in 2010.

In Texas, Frank established a home with his family in Kingwood, Texas. Frank was a member of Houston's First Baptist Church for nine years before transferring membership to Kingwood First Baptist Church in 2003. Frank enjoyed serving in the church kitchen during Wednesday night meals and helped prepare coffee for the Sunday congregation. He was quick to offer a helping hand where needed. Frank and his family have been faithful attendees of Kingwood First Baptist Church for 21 years.

Frank is survived by his wife, Mary Crookston Ciura, his son Frank Tomas Ciura, Jr., his daughter-in-law, Ana Ciura and his two granddaughters, Lindsay Ciura and Taylor Ciura, his stepdaughter Michelle Crookston, his brother, Rafael Ciura, his sister-in-law Eugenia Ciura, his sister Cecilia Ciura Castillo and his brother-in-law Daniel Castillo. In addition, Frank is survived by five nephews, many close friends, and other relatives
