Agnes (Angie) Angeline Fry passed away peacefully in her home on November 28, 2021, after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on March 31, 1938 in Kaufman County, Texas to Joseph and Janie Amelia Krasucky. She was the 5th of five children and attended Bullard Scurry and Rosser Schools. Her grandmother, Maria, came to Texas as a young child with her mother Veronica Kasper from what was then Moravia, Austria. Angie was a proud descendent of German and Czechoslovakian Texan parents. She shared memories of having very little as a girl, but loving the farm life of Texas. Picking cotton with her sisters was hard, but it taught her about nature and work. As a girl she dreamed of being an ice-skater, and cherished the country life with her lifelong friend, Evelyn . After several jobs as a young women in retail stores, she learned to run modern printing presses to process color photographs. She excelled in her work, but picking Texas cotton was always her favorite memory. On August 13, 1960 Angie married Richard Jordan and had a daughter Cheryl, and a son, Steven. She later worked at Nationwide Paper Co., where she met her second husband Raymond Fry. They enjoyed country-western dancing and good friends. They married on July 29, 1971, and shared a blended family with Cheryl, Steven and Raymond's son's Tim and Greg. Angie and Raymond celebrated 48 years of a loving marriage before Raymond passed on Dec. 15, 2019. Angie attended Catholic and Baptist services with Raymond, and loved reading the Bible and faith readings each morning and evening. She'd often sit to play Sudoku, and liked to crochet before her eyes grew tired. Old Polka music, Kenny Rogers, and Johnny Mathis were some of her favorites, along with listening to her granddaughter's harp. Angie loved her family first, and time with her children Cheryl and her partner Dwayne, and Steven and his wife Maria, and grandchildren Derek, Alec, Juliana, Stephanie, and Justin was most precious to her. Visiting and playing cards with her beloved friends and neighbors brightened her day, so the pandemic was especially hard. She followed current events, watched Texas grow, and believed more common sense, kindness, and respect was important. A good joke always made her laugh, and good Mexican food made her smile. She was a strong-willed, opinionated woman, but she was a generous spirit that welcomed all into her home. She was blessed to have cared for her grandchildren as babies, and often drew funny little pictures for them. She and Derek had many years of toy shopping and pizza together. She worried about her loved ones, but all worry and fear of storms are now gone. She leaves behind a legacy of love, and a huge void, but she is whole now in Christ's Kingdom. Angie is reunited with her beloved Raymond, her sisters Wilma, Helen, Josephine, her bother George, her parents Joseph and Janie, and countless good friends and family after a long, blessed life. Her love is woven into her family, she served her Lord well, her mission is complete. Service Information A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Darst Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Deacon Nick Caruso officiating. Graveside services will be at Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2021.
