Janie M. Garza, 69, of Houston passed away on September 11, 2016. Janie was born on January 27, 1947 in Wharton. Janie married Ray Garza on February 18, 1967 in Alvin and later moved to Houston in 1985.

She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the ballpark, shopping , and spending time with her family. Janie is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Garza, and her parents, Phillip and Francis Munoz.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle San Miguel and husband Rene of Houston; son, Ray Garza, Jr. and wife Brandi of Center; sisters: Rose Gallegos of Houston and Flora Layne of Las Vegas; brother, Eddie Munoz of Harwood; grandchildren: Monica, Rene Jr., Leticia, Samantha, Marcus, Joseph, Joshua, and Daniel, Michael, Tailore, RayRay and Brisais; as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Service Information Visitation: A visitation was held on 2016-09-17 at Darst Funeral Home. Sharing of memories will begin at 6pm
