Remembering Georgekutty

Mr. George Chandy, loving husband, father, and grandfather, was called to His heavenly abode on February 18th, 2024.

He was born on January 20th, 1940 as the fourth child of late Mr. Chandy Thomas and Mrs. Annamma Chandy of Munjanatta House Karikulam, Ranni, Kerala. After his high school graduation, he served in the Indian Army for twenty-three years. He was the husband of Annamma George (Lizy), Karipottu Nooromakal House, Panayampala, Mallapally. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1988 and settled in Houston, Texas.

His two elder sisters and older brother are late Aleyamma Oonnunni, late Marykutty Alexander, and late Thomas Chandy. He is survived by his siblings Johnykutty Chandy and Annamma Joseph. He is also survived by his wife, Lizy, and children, Chandy George (Gibu), Anna Kuriakose (Gigy), Rachel George (Jincy), and Aley Paul (Jishy). His son-in-laws are Moncy Kuriakose, George Varughese (Joemon), and Prince Paul. His daughter-in-law is Rachel Chandy (Sheeba). He had ten grandchildren: Deepti, Christine, Keerti, Jojin, Justine, Rohit, Jessica, Priya, Crystal and Hannah.

George Chandy was the laughter that filled our homes. He would grace our lives with melodious songs and extraordinary stories from his lifetime. He had a gracious heart and was always the first to help anyone in need. His unique sense of humor, determination, and unwavering love for his family will be forever remembered in our hearts.
