Obituary

Harold "Hutch" Hutchinsons life began in Missouri as the middle son of three boys to share crop farmers, Willard and Virginia Hutchinson. His love of life didn't come to an end with his death on Wednesday Aug 24, 2022 at age 77 at his familys home, surrounded by family who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.

Harold enlisted in the Air Force in 1967 as a weapons maintenance technician. He served bravely in Vietnam War. He completed his Bachelors of Science degree in engineering during night school at Auburn University, Alabama. Upon graduation, Harold attended Air Force Officer Training School, thus commissioning as a US Air Force officer as an information systems engineer. He valiantly served as a Captain until early retirement in 1985, receiving Air Force Commendations Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and several other awards and medals. Upon retiring Harold began multiple endeavors in real estate and antiques. Three years later he suffered a sudden loss of his first wife Leonora, with which he had two daughters: Laura & Michelle.

With God's grace he met the love of his life in 1993, Barbara Martin. They were instantly inseparable and passionately in love. This whirlwind romance carried over even with their business, The Antique Hutch in Porter and Kingwood, Tx. Harold married Barbara in 1999. During the union Harold gained more beautiful stepdaughters: Lisa, Tracy, and Amy.

Harold enjoyed serving his community through charitable adventures. He served with Village Learning Center, Familytime, VFW, Rotary Club, and various missions through Second Baptist church of Kingwood. He enjoyed movies, construction, dancing, country music, snarky humor, card games, teaching, Whataburger buddies and Walking Together Bible study group. Harold had the uncanny ability to find positive optimism as he served the Lord daily.

Harold is survived by Barbara Hutchinson, Christine Hutchinson, Jerry & Laura Holder, William & Michelle McDade, David & Lisa Walsh, Kevin & Tracy Waterfallen and Amy Martin. Harolds surviving grandkids include Andrew Holder, Brandice Moor, Braun Moor, Riley McDade, Jake McDade, Kelby Waterfallen, Kyla Waterfallen, and Veronica Walsh. There are numerous other additional loved family not listed.

Harold was preceded in death by other angels: his parents, Willard & Virginia Hutchinson, his brother & sister-in-law Willard & Betty Hutchinson, his brother, Lyle Hutchinson, his first wife, Leonora Hutchinson, and his grandson Robert Holder.

Public viewing will be held Aug 31, 2022 from 5-7pm at Darst Funeral Home, 796 Russell Palmer Dr, Kingwood, Tx. A public funeral service will be Sept 1, 2022 at 11am at Darst Funeral Home. Service is to be officiated by Pastor Patrick Thurman of Second Baptist Church. Funerary procession will then follow to Houston VA cemetery for internment at 1:15pm, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, Tx.
