James Allen Aldridge was born on November 30, 1944, in Tarrant, Texas, to parents Alton Earl Aldridge and Minne Viola Buffington Aldridge- he was the 3rd. out of 4 children. Though he was raised in Tarrant, he lived most of his life in Houston, TX.
James attended Aldine Jr. High, and Spring High Schools, eventually obtaining his High School Credentials. Afterwards, he will find a career as a drywall installer and finisher. James retired after over 30 years and then went to work at White Oak Mobile homes where he was working as a Maintenance man for another 7 years.
James married Dianne Laurence on May 14, 1965. They divorced in November 1995 but got back together in 2011 until 2017, when Dianne passed away.
James' favorite pastime was bowling, riding his motorcycle in the 80's, and cruising- driving around with his cousin Larry. He had lots of friends, some of them were Arnold, Bill, and his cousin Larry. His faith was strong, he believed in God though belonged to no Church. He was outgoing, caring, and a thrill seeker in his youth. Loved his family, His favorite music was old County- from the 50's and 60's.
James Aldrige was preceded in death by his parents Alton Earl Aldridge and Minnie Viola Buffington Aldridge; 5 month old baby brother Alton Earl Aldridge Jr., his brother Billy Ray Aldridge and Wife Betty; sister Mary Ella Aldridge Thorpe and Husband Richard (Gene); brother John Thomas Aldridge (Tommy) and ex-wife Dianne Laurence.
James is survived by daughter Charlotte Denise Aldridge Taylor (Denise) and Husband Rusty, daughter Jeannie Luann Aldridge Rockenback and Husband Allen; granddaughter Deanne Elizbeth Taylor Fuit and Husband Casey; granddaughter Jessica Leigh Taylor Dennis and Husband CJ; great-granddaughter Anastasia Leigh Dennis; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
