James Paul "Jimmy" Dean, 79, a resident of Humble, Texas but born and raised in Dulac, LA went to be with Jesus on Saturday, December 30, 2023.

Jimmy spent many years employed as a sandblaster & painter. He enjoyed playing the drums at his church, Deerbrook Baptist Church in Humble, TX and previously with the band Cajun Sunrise. Before moving to Texas, he was a faithful member of Christ Baptist Church and Grand Caillou Baptist Church. People will remember Jimmy for his great sense of humor and his unwavering love for the New Orleans Saints!

Jimmy is survived by his spouse of 58 years, Mary Ann Dean, one daughter Janice Dean Wright of Spring, TX, son-in-law Aaron Wright and five beloved Grandchildren: Houston August, Jovie, Brynlee and Wyatt, sister Barbara Naquin and spouse Joseph Earl "Chunky" Naquin, brother Felix Dean and spouse Deborah and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is Preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Eva Dion Dean and Wilfred Joseph Dean, brother's George Dean and Wilfred Dean Jr., and sisters Jeanette Fitch Verdin, Catherine Parfait, Eva Fitch, Step-sisters Dorothy Billiot and Rita Breaux.

Two memorial services will be held. The first will be held at Deerbrook Baptist Church in Humble, TX on Saturday January 20, 2024 at 11am. The second will be held at Grand Caillou Baptist Church on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 11:00am. A reception will follow. Jimmy's final resting place will be at Holy Catholic Family Cemetery in Dulac, LA next to his mother.
