James B. Thrasher, Jr., 61, of Kingwood, Tx passed away Saturday June 8, 2024. He was born in Topeka, Kansas on October 14, 1962 to Sharon and James (Bart) Thrasher. He was one of three children. He grew up in a military family where he learned to adapt with moving a lot when young. He learned about hard work, love of God and family, and laughter from his wonderful parents.

He was a General Manager for Golf Galaxy for several years. The last two years he worked as General Manager for Rockler- a wood- working store. He loved traveling and playing golf.

He is survived by his wife Kim Thrasher of Kingwood; son James "Pierce" Thrasher, and daughter Ava; sister- Carolyn Clark and three nieces, Kara, Kallie, and Kayden; Father- in- law and mother- in- law Greg and Connie Styles of Bryant, AR; brother- in- law James Styles; sister- in- law Debra Styles of Bryant, AR.; cousins Nancy Thrasher of Monroe, GA, and Kim Thrasher Horne of Wilmington, NC.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother David and brother- in- law Gregg.

James always strove to offer a loving and stable home for his family. He was gracious, kind, intelligent, and a Christian man. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, June 29 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood. His guidance, grace, and love will be greatly missed by his family.
