Jerry Kogucki, 89, passed away on February 14, 2025, in Humble, Texas. Jerry was the youngest of three brothers and was born in the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada. He lived and grew up on farm of around 400 acres until leaving for college. He attended Bradley University in Peoria Illinois and earned a degree in Civil Engineering. It's there where he would meet his future wife, Opal. Jerry and Opal married in 1959 and lived in Ontario (Canada), Ohio, North Carolina, and Texas. Jerry and Opal had four children. He retired at the age of 53 after which he and Opal did a fair bit of traveling abroad and across the USA in one of several recreational vehicles. Jerry often described himself as the "jack of all trades, but master of none". Those who knew him can attest he could fix, repair, make, or take on many tasks' others would not take on themselves: Home design, repairs/remodeling, car maintenance, woodworking, taxes, gardening, and many other activities. This was likely a result of growing up on a farm with no electricity located a long drive from town which required he, his brothers, mom, and dad to "figure it out".

Jerry was preceded in death by his father and mother – John and Mary, two brothers – Stephen and Jack, and grandson – Roman.  He is survived by his wife, Opal, four children: Lisa, John, Katheryn, and Steven and seven grandchildren: Justin, Andrew, Alexis, Ian, Luis, Andie, and Ashley.

There will be a service on March 6th, 2025, at 10AM and a reception immediately following. Both the service and reception will be held at Darst Funeral Home located on 700 Russel Palmer Kingwood, TX 77339. A private burial for the family will be later that afternoon.
