Jimmy passed away in his home on January 9, 2024, in New Caney, Texas. After a long fight with cancer the lord called him home.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents , Earl and Irene Lake; sons Ronnie Lake and James Lake III.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Linda Lake and his sons Robert Lake, Eddie Lake, Tony Britt and Arty. Jimmy has many grandchildren and great- grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
