Joe Allen Parker was born February 25 1931, Centerville Texas. His Parents were Andrew Burness Parker and Lela Mae Simpson.

The family moved to Houston where he attended Jefferson Davis High School.

Joe enjoyed being with his many friends and family on the north side of houston. Well known families are the Romeos and Montabanos.

He joined the Airforce and was with the cold war early warning systems at Sparrevohn Alaska.

Joe married Donna Lou Sauerwein from Belleville Illinois in 1952.

Joe then was stationed at the Sandia Labs Nuclear Facility Albuquerque New Mexico and had a daughter Teri Kropik nee Parker.

After the Airforce he moved back to Houston and had a son Joe Parker Jr. He attended University of Houston and started his career at Brown and Root where he worked for the next 32 years as an electrical engineer.

He traveled the world with his career through the years with many wonderful experiences.

He loved playing golf and was involved with groups in the Forest Cove community. Member of Forest Cove Singers and many 4th of July events. One of his favorite things was the Forest Cove 4th of July Parade, which he was a founder.

A loving Dad and inspiration to us all.

Preceded in death by Donna Parker nee Sauerwein (wife) Andrew B. Parker (father), Lela Mae Parker (mother), Andrew Parker jr. (brother).

Survived by Teri Kropik (daughter), Joe Parker (son) and grandchildren Shane Benge, Shannon Benge, Brynn Parker, Joey Parker and Shelby Parker. Great grandchildren, Keira Benge, Austin Benge, Ronan Wymer, Lincoln Wymer, Beau Benge, Chase Benge and Skylar Benge. Interment Friday 27 Oct Houston National Cemetery
