Joette Gary, 91, of Houston, Texas, passed away on November 25, 2023. She was born on May 14, 1932, in Kentucky. Joette was the beloved daughter of Floy Dunn. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Rodgers, her mother, her sisters Dixie Rutherford Sanders and Carolyn Johnson, her brother Robert Simpson, as well as her nephew, Kevin Lyon.

Joette is survived by her loving granddaughter, Misty Johnson, and her husband, Brian, her loving grandsons Wesley Bennett, and his wife, Kelli, and Stevie Bennett, and her great-grandchildren Megan Fletcher and her Fianc Tye, Trentan Johnson, Skylar Bennett, and Lexi Bennett, and her great great grandchildren Kash Smith and Wrenleigh Smith.

A celebration of Joettes life will be provided by Darst Funeral Home at Triumph Christian Center, located at 21758 E Hammond Dr, Porter, TX 77365. The viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 5th, at 6pm, and the funeral will take place on Wednesday, December 6th, at 12pm. Following the funeral, graveside services will be held at Brookside Funeral Home at 2pm.
