It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Randall (Randy) Laws, who left us on April 13th, 2026, after struggling through several illnesses. He was 57.

Randy brought warmth, humor, and a generous spirit to everyone who knew him. He found joy in music, playing acoustic and electric guitars, and loved classic rock and metal. He loved animals, movies, and beach vacations, especially Hawaii.

Before becoming a licensed aircraft mechanic, Randy successfully owned and operated several small service businesses. Known for his strong work ethic and dedication, he earned the respect of his colleagues and the trust of his supervisors, who selected him to train and mentor fellow mechanics. Randy took great pride in his work and was especially honored to become certified to taxi aircraft, a responsibility he considered one of the most enjoyable and rewarding parts of his career.

Randy quietly faced more than his share of challenges, that were often invisible to others. Those of us close to him will remember his life was filled with moments of love, meaning, and impact to others.

Randy is survived by his mother Nancy Laws, sister Joanna Laws, cousins Robert and Barabara McMillan, Nancy, Madison and Jon and Jeff Heckman, and Liana and Gabriel Hosu. We will forever carry his memory in our hearts. Randy is preceded in death by his father, John Laws.

We respect that Randy was a very private person who would not have wanted a formal service. Please honor his life by knowing he brought light and love into the lives of his family and friends.
