Karen Wallace, 66, of Kingwood, Texas, passed away on June 3, 2026.

Born on March 12, 1960, in Houston, Texas, Karen was raised in the Spring Branch area, where she built the foundation of the vibrant and compassionate life she would go on to lead. She graduated from Spring Branch High School in 1978 and later earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Sam Houston State University in 1984.

Karen dedicated more than 40 years of her professional life to the printing industry, where she was known for her keen eye, creativity, and dedication. Much of her career was spent with Captiva Group (Albuquerque Printing), where she left a lasting impression through both her work and the relationships she built.

Karen had a deep love for creativity and expression. She was an avid painter and enjoyed crafts, always bringing beauty and imagination into everything she touched. She also had a strong competitive spirit and enjoyed bowling, softball, and skiing. Beyond her hobbies, Karen was very active in the Kingwood community and formed lifelong friendships wherever she went.

She was known for her artistic talent, her sharp designer's instinct, her wit, and her warm, caring nature. Karen had a special gift for making new friends who quickly became like family, and she will be remembered for her laughter, her humor, and her unwavering love for those closest to her.

Karen was preceded in death by her mother, Billie Jo Wallace; her brother, Karl Wallace; and her partner, Claude Wesmoreland.

She is survived by her father, John E. Wallace; her sister, Kathy Busa; her bonus children, Danny, Wes, Steven, and Erika; and six beloved grandchildren. She also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family members who were touched by her kindness and generosity.

A memorial service honoring Karen's life will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 5:30 PM at the The Grand Event Center,1310 Northpark Dr Ste #800, Kingwood, TX 77339

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Karen's memory to Breast Cancer Awareness organizations or The Salvation Army.

Karen's legacy lives on in the friendships she built, the lives she touched, and the love she so freely gave. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
