Karon Elaine Fleniken went home to be with the Lord on April 18th, 2026 in Kingwood Tx. She was born on September 25th 1944 in Beaumont Tx. She graduated from White Oak High School in White Oak Tx in 1963 and went on to study education at Stephen F Austin State University where she graduated in 1967. She taught for over 40 years in various Texas school districts, including Longview, Diboll, and Houston, retiring from Huffman ISD. After retiring she continued to do what she loved by substitute teaching at New Caney ISD. She enjoyed traveling, cruising and spending time with her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lawrence Owen and Irene Owen and her brother Larry Owen from White Oak Tx. She is survived by her two sons, Brent and Jennifer Fleniken of Crosby Tx and Brian and Maribeth Fleniken of Kingwood Tx. Three grandchildren: Kyle and Matthew Fleniken and Cody Apperson as well as her sister Nancy Cezeaux and many cousins.
