Kenneth William Magnant passed away Thursday, March 30th, 2023.

Born May 8th, 1948 in Cambridge Massachusetts, he was the son of Franklyn J Magnant and Dorothy M Magnant.

After moving to Berkshire County at a young age Kenneth attended schools in North Adams and Cheshire before attending Charles H. McCann Technical High School where he studied plant maintenance. Later in life, he received an Associate Degree from Berkshire Community College as well as a second Associate Degree from Kingwood Community College.

Kenneth worked for the Massachusetts Forestry Service in his younger days, then, later on, was employed by General Cable where he began working towards his Electrician license. As a master electrician, he worked for W.R. Grace before opening his own Electrical business. After moving to Texas in 1994 he built control panels for refineries and chemical plants before retiring some years later.

His hobbies ranged from golf in his younger years to woodworking and coin collecting all while being a die-hard Boston Red Sox fan. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by his daughter Tammy Magnant and longtime family friends.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Netta May Magnant and his parents Franklyn and Dorothy Magnant; as well as numerous aunts and uncles. He is survived by his two daughters and two grandsons.
