Lillian Darleen Pooley, 64, of Dayton, TX, was taken into the arms of Jesus on October 5, 2024.

Born on August 18,1960 Darleen, as she was affectionately known, spent her life dedicated to her family, friends and her community.

Darleen was known for her vibrant personality, always ready to lend a hand or share a smile. Her career was marked by her time at Citicorp in San Antonio, TX, and later at Huffman ISD in Huffman, TX, where she cherished her role as a bus driver. She was beloved by both her colleagues and the children that rode her bus, leaving a lasting impact on many young lives.

In her personal time, Darleen was an avid gardener and scrapbooker, often capturing the precious moments spent with friends and family. Her greatest joy was her

grandchildren, whom she loved spoiling with her time, crafts, and endless affection.

She indeed was a precious soul.

Darleen is survived by her children, Denise Tondre, Melissa Audilet and husband Scott, and Codie Tondre. Grandchildren Maddison, Makalya, Kyle, Allison and Ashley.

Her siblings Henry Pooley Jr. wife Cindy. Mary Pooley Nale husband James, Patricia Pooley Johnson, Billy Pooley wife Grace.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Patricia Kunze Pooley and Henry Pooley.

The family has entrusted arrangements to Darst Funeral Home, located at 700 Russell Palmer Rd., Kingwood, Texas 77339. A service to celebrate Darleen's life will be held at Lake Houston Methodist Church, 23606 FM 2100, Huffman, Texas 77336, on October 14, 2024. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, with the service immediately following, celebrated by Pastor Russell Martin.
