Linda Kay Martin Robertson, 86, of Kingwood, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2025.

Born on February 16, 1939, Linda lived a life filled with curiosity, compassion, and adventure. Her love for travel began in high school when she spent her summers in Japan visiting her father, who was stationed outside Tokyo. That early experience sparked a lifelong sense of wonder and independence that carried through all she did.

Linda dedicated more than 30 years to her work in special education, where her patience, empathy, and commitment touched countless students and families. She was also a lifelong learner, attending several universities across Texas —but she was always a Longhorn at heart.

Linda's adventuresome spirit led her to participate as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Civil Air Patrol, where she proudly completed her solo flight. She had a deep love for the water— boating, water skiing, scuba diving, and swimming brought her joy throughout her life.

She will be remembered for her witty sense of humor, southern charm, and love for her family, with whom she cherished every moment.

Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Robert "Bob" Robertson; her son Alan Zeigler and wife, Rose; daughters Lori Robinson and husband, Jon, and Jennifer Fordham and husband, Scott; and her beloved grandchildren Leslie English, Zachary Haerns, Jesseca Dannemiller, Sara Zeigler, Ashley Pruitt, Andrew Robinson, Megan Schultz, Brandon Davis, Brady Davis, Chelsea King, Bryce Fordham, Katelyn McClendon, and Precious Garcia-Fordham. She was also blessed with thirteen great-grandchildren who brought her endless pride and joy.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Dianna Swientek and grandson Joseph Swientek.

A celebration of Linda's life will be held Friday, October 24, 2025 starting at 10 a.m., at Darst Funeral Home, 796 Russell Palmer Rd. Kingwood, TX, 77339.

Forever remembered for her laughter, courage, and kindness, Linda Kay Martin Robertson leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
