Lloyd L. Logan, Jr., 83, lost his battle with cancer on April 11, 2025. Lloyd was born in Calexico, California on June 7, 1941 to Lloyd L. Logan and Ora Belle Waggoner. He was the third of four children. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sherry; his sons, John Logan, and Mike Ayers (Tiffany); his daughter, Jennifer Logan (Steve Borst); his beloved grandchildren, Marti, Dean and Olivia; his brother, Robert Logan (Joann);his brother in law Merton Alexander; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Peggy Hellberg and Betty Alexander.
His early years were lived in southern California until the Spring of 1946 when the family moved to Dorris, in northern California. Upon graduating from Butte Valley High School, he attended Occidental College in Los Angeles where he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree. After college, he worked briefly for Firestone Tire & Rubber Company. In 1966, he began his 33-year career with Shell Oil Company. His various Marketing and Real Estate assignments led him to the states of: California, Indiana, Tennessee, and Texas. He retired in March 1999.
Over the years, Lloyd enjoyed reading, traveling, cruising, gardening, fishing, hunting, but, most of all, his family and friends. He was an endless source of knowledge to everyone on "how to build or fix anything and everything." He will be missed in more ways than he will ever know.
A Celebration of Life to honor Lloyd's life and legacy will be held at 2:00 p.m. on May 10, 2025 at the Darst Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 796 Russell Palmer Road, Kingwood, TX 77339. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow the Celebration of Life.
