Lucia McKay was born August 29th, 1935 in Harlingen Texas to Lucia G. Hernandez and Federico G. Hernandez. At an early age she professed her love in Jesus Christ and attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Conroe Texas. Lucy was an active member of the American Legion where she worked for 14 years serving veterans and other service members. Those who knew Lucy knew her to be full of life and fierce. A protector and matriarch of her family and a close friend to many.

Lucy quietly departed this life on Monday, March 23rd, 2026 in her home in Splendora, Texas.

Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her siblings, children and their spouses. She lived her life for her life for her many grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be greatly missed.
