Margrit Koch Atchison peacefully passed away on March 4, 2025, with her daughters Christina and Stephanie by her side. She lived a unique life, born in 1936 in Hamburg, Germany, surviving childhood there during World War II, and moving to America to marry her husband, Michael. They shared two daughters, Christina and Stephanie, and were married for 64 years.

Margrit was so many things to so many people, and all of those whose lives she touched were better for it. She brought up her daughters with love, laughter, music and education, and travel experiences that enriched their lives. She and her friends cherished their relationships, which lasted for several decades, and she left an indelible mark of love and laughter in this world.

Margrit is preceded in death by her parents, Christine Reckelkamm Koch and Wilhelm Koch; she is survived by her husband Michael, daughter Christina (Randal) Frisbie, daughter Stephanie (Steven) Roberts, granddaughter Ashley Smith, sister Inge Koch Funken, nephews Matthias Funken and Peter Funken, and niece Sonja Funken Lindenbuss.
