Loved And Never Forgotten

Celebrating the Life of Mary Lynn Doss.

Born on January 30, 1946 in California, where she lived until she married C. Thomas Mosure and moved to Michigan. Her parents were James A. Blackwell and Rita P. Gleeson. She was the 3rd of 6 children. She went to be with Jesus on February 27th, 2025 in peace and without pain.

She attended Southern California Catholic and public schools. Later in life she attended to St. Clair Community College, pursuing a major in phycology and made the Dean's List. After pursuing some college, she went to work for a local high school in the Career Resource Center. There she helped high school students with hiring skills, resumes, attire and interview practices. After the school was closed, she went to work for a "Run-A-Way house" where she furthered her career in child mental/safety health fields. Once she relocated to Texas via California, her legacy career began in the Texas Foster Care system. She worked in this field fostering hundreds of children for approximately 20+ years until she retired.

After retirement, she downsized and lived independently serving some of her grandchildren and children. However she could. She lived in Humble, TX until her passing. Mary Lynn was a catholic at heart, but attended Atascocita Community Church for a Non-Denominational Christian faith as an introduction or to re-introduce her foster-kids to Jesus Christ. She became a member and never left. ACC currently hosts out reach to foster care family's to this day and that made her very happy. Special Friends Suzie (15 yrs of friendship) and Tootise (20 yrs of friendship) need also be mentioned. These women unselfishly stood by her, helped her, came to see her, and brought special requests items often. Especially, this last year of health decline and multiple hospital stays. Forever supporting her with unconditional love and loyalty.

Mary Lynn is preceded in death by her father, James A. Blackwell; her mother, Rita P. Blackwell; and her brothers, James Blackwell, Patrick Blackwell, and Vernon Blackwell.

She is survived by her sisters, Donna Blackwell and Judy Blackwell; her son, Charles J. Vogliardo; her daughters, Rita T. Vogliardo, Antee' M. Vogliardo, and Tiffany L. Moore; her nephews, Donnavan and Raven; as well as her 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
