Janice Lynn McWhorter was born in Houston, TX on November 27, 1961 and entered into rest on Thursday August 8, 2019 in Humble, TX. Janice was the second of nine children born to her parents Richard and Vicky Greer.

She grew up attending schools in Aldine and Huffman. After graduation, she began her career in the radiology field. On November 18, 1994 Janice was married to John Edd McWhorter in Humble, TX. She loved attending gospel concerts, and fun holidays with her family. The most important event in her life was when her son was born.

In 2005, she began her retirement and enjoyed her time with her family, studying the bible, watching television, and listening to southern gospel. She will be remembered for her overall happiness and enjoyment of life.

She is preceded in death by her father, Richard Norman Greer, and sister, Vicky Ann Greer. Janice is survived by her husband John Edd McWhorter; son, Victor John McWhorter; mother, Vicky Marie Oakes; sisters, Karen Kiessling, Arlene Worley, Anita Fabre, Evelyn McCurley, Carolyn Rollo, Natalie Reed; brother, Richard Nathan Greer; stepsister, Shauna Oaks; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Bible Baptist Church (2105 Wilson Rd. Humble, TX 77396) at 11:00am. Pastor Mike Heron will be presiding over services.
