Michael Lane Mashburn, 72, was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on February 26, 2022. He was a beloved husband, father, and Papa. Mike was a faithful man who loved the Lord and his family.

Mike was born to the late Leland and Ruby Mashburn in DeQueen, Arkansas on August 29, 1949. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1971. Mike relocated to Houston and worked for Cooper Oil Tools and established his long career in the oil and gas industry. He met the love of his life, Karen Bachman, on a date arranged by mutual friends. The two married on March 17th, 1979.

Mike was a quietly faithful man whose constant presence in the church pew helped to form the basis of his family's faith journey. Mike loved to travel and shared that love with his wife and daughters his entire life. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his Creator.

Mike is survived by his wife, Karen; his daughters Lindsay (Toug) Plilar and Stephanie Mashburn; and his grandchildren JD and Elise Plilar. He is preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am at Kingwood United Methodist Church on March 5th, with a reception to follow.
